GENERAL PROPERTY TAX ACT

2017 Township Tax Rates are as Follows:

Non-Homestead Rate- 47.8583 mills per $1,000 of Taxable Value plus 1% administrative Fee . Homestead Rate- 29.8583 mills per $1,000 of Taxable Value. Additional Millage Rate for Village Properties is  13.0045 mills per $1,000 of Taxable Value plus 1% administrative Fee and an additional $178.23 for Garbage Pick-up Services. Summer Taxes due and payable without penalty or interest July 1st through September 14th. 1% interest September 15-September 30th, plus 1% interest per month thereafter. 3% penalty after February 14th.  Winter taxes are due before February 15th without penalty. A 3% penalty applied after February 14th.

Beginning March 1, 2018, all unpaid 2017 real estate property taxes become delinquent and must be paid to Andrew E. Meisner, Oakland County Treasurer, 1200 N. Telegraph, Pontiac, MI 48431 with 4% county property tax administration fee and 1% interest per month until paid.

Dog Licenses

A Dog must be licensed at 4 months instead of 6 months!

Dog Licenses will be delinquent after June 1st. Licenses’ expire 5/31 of each year. The licenses are issued by the authority of Andrew E. Meisner, Oakland County Treasurer. Fees: Spayed/Neutered – $7.50 *Senior Citizens Price – $6.75 Male/Female – $15.00 *Senior Citizens Price – $13.50 Delinquent Licenses – $30.00

You must bring a proof of rabies shot for your dogs in order to purchase a license.

If you have a limiting disability which may require assistance in obtaining your dog license, please contact our office.

* Senior Citizen price for dog owners 65 years of age or older.(Must show proof)

You must bring proof that a dog has been neutered or spayed to recieve discount
